Cobra Killer: Gay Porn, Murder, and the Manhunt to Bring the Killers to Justice

The case would be the 2007 brutal, cold-blooded killing of Cobra Video owner Bryan Kocis by Harlow Cuadra and Joe Kerekes. It will be featured on NBC Universal’s show on the Oxygen Cable Network, “Snapped: Killer Couples”. The segment will air at 9 p.m. EST/PST on Sunday, Oct. 18.

There is a major motion picture in the works with the working title “King Cobra.” Casting rumors are said to include Christian Slater and James Franco.

The episode will draw on the research of Dr. Andrew E. Stoner, assistant professor in Communication Studies at Sacramento State University who literally co-authored the book on the subject. Joe Kerekes and Harlow Cuadra were convicted of first-degree murder in separate trials in 2008-2009 in for the death of Bryan Kocis. The bizarre, violent case all stemmed from a battle over a model, budding star Brent Corrigan, whom Kerekes and sometimes porn model/escort Cuadra believed was their ticket to porn millions.

They ended up stabbing Kocis 28 times and lighting his body on fire, all because he had an exclusive contract with Corrigan. Corrigan added another layer of palace intrigue to the whole sordidness of it all when he revealed he was only 17 when Kocis filmed him in his early videos.

In 2012, Brent Corrigan opened up for one of the first times about the case, in which he was a key witness, saying, that it “never should have happened” to him.

In a presentencing report delivered earlier this month, the U.S. Probation Office determined that Wentworth’s imprisonment range should be 70-87 months. The office recommended a low-end sentence of 70 months and a three-year period of supervised release.

I do believe if you are not part of the problem, you are part of the solution. Why I am extending the reach of NY Post innuendo beyond the five boroughs if I am not trying to glean my own share of clicks from the scandal? A very good question for which I have a very good answer.
